The Environment, Energy and Sustainability Manager will be the lead environmental and energy specialist for the Trust, to ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice and mandatory standards in the fields of general environmental management, energy management, and waste management.
Working with utmost autonomy, the post holder will lead on decarbonisation of the service in line with government directive, and to support transformation change to meet challenging carbon reduction targets.
Playing a key role in identifying the emerging environmental, energy and waste issues, the post holder will be responsible for developing environmental strategies and programmes of work and will manage innovative opportunities to introduce new technology where appropriate, to be the lead advisor to the service.
The post holder will be responsible for delivery of the Trust’s strategic and operational approach to energy management services, working in close partnership with Trust colleagues, commercial partners and service providers, the post holder will identify and implement opportunities to reduce emissions, energy consumption and cost
The post holder will use specialist environmental knowledge in order to achieve legal compliance with all applicable environmental legislation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
