MEICA Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater Projects
We are seeking a skilled MEICA Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary engineering team, working on critical water and wastewater projects. In this role, you’ll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial design through to completion and handover. You will work alongside experienced professionals across different disciplines, expanding your knowledge and contributing to a collaborative, "one-team" culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of projects, supporting both the Project Manager and Contracts Manager in delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards are met, and be familiar with the HSQE management system and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Control: Oversee the delivery of MEICA installation works, ensuring that quality standards are met and all necessary testing (FAT, SAT, ITRs, etc.) is completed in line with project specifications.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and project handover files, including O&M manuals and as-built drawings.
- Collaboration: Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team to ensure smooth project delivery, from procurement through to final commissioning.
- Leadership: Provide cover for the Project Manager when necessary, managing the day-to-day operations on-site and ensuring continuity in project execution.
What You’ll Need:
- Qualifications: A degree (Level 7 or above) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the water and wastewater industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CAD, and GPS/total station systems.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead meetings, collaborate effectively with teams, and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: The ability to use your initiative to resolve issues as they arise and adjust project plans accordingly.
- Full Driving License: This is essential as travel to various project sites will be required.
