Job Title: Business Development Manager

Salary: Upto £40 000 Base Salary, £52 000 OTE
About The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing and award-winning sales team. In this field-based role, you will engage with senior-level clients to expand our presence within the public sector, in line with projected growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Manage a portfolio of both existing and new third-party intermediaries (TPIs) and direct public sector clients, such as energy consultants, brokers, and other partners, to drive new business opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with credit, finance, operations, and customer service teams to ensure financial considerations are aligned with new opportunities and maintain excellent customer service.
- Sales Strategy: Contribute to and influence the broader B2B sales strategy by optimizing sales efficiencies and introducing new products and services to meet business objectives.

About You

Knowledge Required
- Solid understanding of the energy industry (essential)
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, or similar CRM systems
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications

- Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify business opportunities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present at conferences and events
- Effective relationship management at all customer levels, including setting clear expectations
- Ability to develop and leverage relationships with senior-level stakeholders

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to set clear agendas and conduct external client meetings
