Job Title: Assistant Project Manager (Ground Mount Solar PV) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE) Location: London and Site based Company Overview: MDE Group UK is currently in partnership with a leading renewable energy developer and provider of expert services in the renewable energy industry. Their mission is to create the smart energy systems needed for a low-carbon future. They design, plan, construct, connect, and manage utility-scale solar and energy storage projects for developers and investors in the UK and internationally. Role Summary: The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of large-scale solar PV projects. Drawing on internal and external resources, this position involves the planning and implementation of an agreed list of functions and deliverables across the project life cycle, from inception through to handover. Working within agreed budgets and timeframes, the Assistant Project Manager will be expected to maintain a disciplined tracking and reporting regime using recognised project management techniques and tools. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prioritise Health and Safety in all decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with company Health and Safety policies.
- Update budgets and monthly project costs, including the preparation of appropriate Change Control paperwork for Senior Project Managers.
- Assist in compiling agreed project budgets and schedules. Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, maintain a disciplined tracking and reporting regime using recognised project management techniques and tools. This includes updating project schedules and budgets to reflect progress and expenditures.
- Prepare and update tracker reports regularly and conduct project risk assessments in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager.
- Conduct site visits and meetings with landowners and development consultants, updating site visit reports as necessary.
- Take ownership to deliver the project from the earliest stage of the project life cycle to the final handover. Skill Requirements:
- A Project Management qualification is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one.
- Willingness to travel to sites.
- Desire to work in an international company
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A good understanding of relevant project management software and tools.
