We are looking to recruit National Programme Manager. You’ll be part of an experienced Participation team working together to deliver against key organisational priorities.
Role based at National Cycling Centre, Manchester, minimum 2 days a week, other days hybrid working.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the development of British Cycling’s participation programmes, aligned to wider strategic objectives, ensuring they are fit for purpose, and they evolve in line with customer needs.
- Work across the wider Sport and Participation functions and wider business to create, develop, and scale up new participation programmes for specific audiences and target groups.
- Ensure participation programme models are aligned to deliver against multiple stakeholder objectives of partners and funders.
- Work with the Insight team to identify and lead the generation of new insight into customer needs and customer feedback.
- Work closely across the Sport and Participation function to ensure the participation programme pathway supports the growth and sustainability of the sporting pathway.
- Create strong networks across internal and external stakeholders building trust and confidence in the participation programme portfolio.
About You
Experience of cycling is not essential, but a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge will be. You will be a strategic thinker who will need to work across British Cycling, with excellent project management, organisational and communications skills to work in an agile way to help develop and deliver exciting programme opportunities, you should be aware of Sport England’s strategic aims, local and national partner priorities.
- A degree in a relevant area or sport related discipline, or equivalent workplace experience
- An excellent and proven track record of developing national products and services to grow participation.
- Proven experience of project management and delivery
- Experience in managing or delivering Digital and Technology related projects.
- An excellent understanding and track record of collaborating internally and externally to drive delivery and behavioural change.
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
- Influential presentation and communication skills with ability to interact across all levels of management.
- Accomplished team leader and manager
