The business works closely with sister companies through the planning, permitting/licensing, engineering and design and construction of green hydrogen projects.
Green Cat Hydrogen requires a Project Manager to support our portfolio of projects through the entire development procedure including feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED, Final Investment Decision, and construction.

The Role:
This role is best suited to a candidate with an engineering background who has transitioned into project management, maintaining a keen interest in engineering tasks and challenges. The role will enable the candidate to combine their technical expertise with strategic oversight to drive the success of our green hydrogen projects.
The candidate will be accountable for managing and delivering a range of electrolytic hydrogen production facilities at differing stages of development and will report directly to the Operations Director. Key activities will include:
- Leading, monitoring and reporting on projects at different phases of development.
- Schedule and budget management (including establishing schedule and budget through phase gate development process).
- Developing and maintaining strong working relations with stakeholders (public / private), OEMs, regulators / planning authorities, consultants, and other parties, as required.
- Driving projects towards achieving FID, ensuring that all technical, commercial and regulatory milestones are met to move projects into the execution / construction phase.
- Supporting the development of strategies and business plans for new and existing early-stage projects and business initiatives.
- Contract structuring, negotiation, and administration / management.
- Accountability for, and support in delivering, technical documentation such as: stage gate reports, project risk registers, lessons learned databases and funding applications.
- Managing and mentoring project team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and professional development.
- Day-to-day project point of contact with holistic oversight of each development / project.
The ideal Candidate must have:
- 8+ years of professional experience, out of which 4+ years must be in a relevant Project Management capacity.
- Experience with renewable energy / process industry / construction projects.
- A desire to work in a multidisciplinary team and to collaboratively share and integrate learnings.
- Experience working with, and managing, a diverse range of project stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in progressing projects through FID and delivery.
- A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft packages (word, excel, project, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom, full-time, in perpetuity.
The Candidate would benefit from:
- An engineering or technical background, with appropriate academic training (Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject).
- Project Management experience, training, or qualifications (APM, PMP, etc).
- A hands-on and delivery focused mindset.
- Past exposure to any of:
- Experience in the role of Project Manager for IChemE (or equivalent under FIDIC/NEC).
- Managing the final investment decision process for projects.
- Risk management and mitigation.
- Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
- Experience in managing project development through front-end engineering design.
- Chartership or membership of relevant professional bodies.
