Role Summary
Responsible for scoping, development, planning and implementation of sustainability and social value activity that will deliver an effective and highly relevant proposition (travel, meetings and events) for our customers, in accordance with the strategic road map.
Listening, engaging and building trust with our customers to ensure that the road map is validated and updated based on their requirements, making this is a two way open conversation.
You will be a trusted advisor as one of the faces and voices representing Clarity to our customers (and the industry), whilst being a go-to person for colleagues to educate, support and excite them about the products and features you deliver to meet customers sustainability objectives.
Championing wider business initiatives for environment and community in support of Clarity’s overarching sustainability goals and mission.
Working closely with both the internal Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability teams as well as the Sales, Account Management and Product team ensuring engagement and buy in across the business.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Ownership and delivery of the key initiatives within the Sustainability product roadmap, in conjunction with the product teams
- Drive business opportunities to enhance and grow our proposition, with commercial awareness & advantage
- Ensure new products and services are both commercially viable and competitive in the marketplace, with income and cost models clearly documented and shared with appropriate teams
- Support with testing of products, services and IT developments as requested to ensure they meet proposition/customer requirements
- Marketing scanning to ensure Clarity & Brighter remain competitive and are aware of industry drivers for Sustainability, shaping the product road map along side the Exec leads
- Managing key 3rd party relationship relating to sustainable products and services
- Respond to requests for information from new and existing customers articulating the benefits of our product and proposition and how this will support in achieving their sustainability goals
- Internal and external content creation on Sustainability products and topics relevant to our customers and people
Operational
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, sponsors and work stream leaders as required to ensure relevant communication and successful delivery of proposition items in a timely fashion
- Provide training and awareness to all relevant stakeholders on new or changed products or methodologies to support successful adoption by our customers
- Work with the Brand and Marketing teams to craft, evolve and strengthen sustainability messaging from the business to include but limited to blogs, website content, industry press.
- Ensure impact assessment is considered on all project/change requests, managing risks and issues and escalating where necessary to mitigate
- Keeping updated on ESG trends, frameworks, Carbon procurement and sustainable supply chains
- Selective external representation at industry events in line with role requirements and expertise
Compliance
- Ensure that departmental processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Adhere to HR Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake mandatory training as directed.
- Safeguard clients’ and colleagues’ personal information. This includes:
- Using IT devices and systems only as instructed
- Being familiar, and complying with, data security policies made available to you
- Knowing how to recognise, and report, security incidents
- Adhere to other compliance areas such as ISO, GDPR, Health and Safety and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.

Essential
- Understanding of carbon calculations and offsetting methodologies
- Familiarity with global ESG regulations, guidelines, and reporting standards would be preferable but not essential
- Project management experience
- Confidence working with data and data analytics
- Commercial awareness and supplier contract management
- Technical literacy to discuss technical content relating to products and how they work with a technical audience
- Understanding of the business travel, meetings and events market preferred
