What We're Looking For...
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team at our Cumbernauld site. The creation of this role is due to an increase in capital projects, where you will work closely with the Project Engineering Manager and Senior Project Engineer with a focus on the planning and delivery of capital projects in the 5 year plan.
AG Barr has a strong pipeline of projects for the Cumbernauld factory such as increasing the production capacity with the replacement of PET and CAN production lines, upgrading warehousing and logistics infrastructure, implementing sustainable cardboard packaging, installation of Solar PV and Heat Pumps to support the Net Zero targets, significant process improvement projects that will improve yield and reduce waste within manufacturing, initiatives to improve health and safety and also working on short and long term plans for Industry 4.0 to streamline supply chain operations and reduce costs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include...
As a
Project Engineer your responsibilities will include;
- Successfully deliver the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out agreed specific Capital Projects at our Cumbernauld site
- Deliver projects, on time, in full and on budget and manage relationships with external clients and key stakeholders to ensure projects meet deadlines
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders across the business to clearly identify project objectives and benefits whilst avoiding scope creep
- Coordinating internal and external resources to build and lead teams to deliver Projects
- Complete and communicate regular Project updates to business and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, project cost v budget updates and risk assessments
- Conduct comprehensive Project reviews detailing lessons learned
What You'll Bring...
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an engineering discipline with extensive experience in project or operations development. You should be experienced in the full project cycle from initial brief to capital proposals, budgeting, installation and commissioning.
Your strong leadership and communication skills will ensure that you develop effective working relationships with both internal colleagues and external contacts as well as leading and motivating project teams.
Most importantly you will be a true self starter with the experience to make an immediate impact.
