The Opportunity
As a Wind Turbine Technician in our Scottish Borders team at Fallago Rig (TD3 6NW), every day is different and provides a real opportunity to make a difference in our ambition to help the UK achieve Net Zero.
You’ll work across multiple assets (predominantly Vestas MW platforms but could also include Senvion & Nordex) to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services to our onshore wind turbine projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for delivering scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services on wind turbines in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services on wind turbines in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Report and plan maintenance activity.
- Manage spare parts and consumable stock.
- Fault find, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all wind turbine systems, which includes mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies and major components.
- Proactively repair or replace components to prevent complete failure or system downtime.
- Supervise specialist and subcontractor activity during main component exchange.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements including the WTSR.
- Provide out of hours and weekend response to turbine breakdown.
- Ensure the highest level of turbine availability.
What do you need to be great at this role?
You’ll be a time served Engineer (electrical/mechanical) with a primary focus on ensuring operations and maintenance activities are undertaken to the highest levels you’ll ideally hold a AT/AE qualification under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and have significant technical expertise gained through a blend of academic (Electrical or Mechanical HNC/HND/NVQ) and “hands on” operational environments.
You will have an excellent understanding of health and safety practices, rules and regulation as well as accreditation or previous accreditation as an Authorising Technician (AT) / Authorising Engineer (AE) under WTSR.
It is essential to have a full driver’s licence for this role.
