Process Engineer – Surrey – Permanent – Hydrogen CCUS
What you will enjoy doing:
- The role is to provide detailed process engineering support to projects and the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of all operations in the UK and Europe.
- You will provide specifications and scope of work for projects, developing an outline scheme into a detailed project proposal. This could be for an existing site development or new customer installations including the expanding clean fuels and carbon capture market.
- You will ensure process safety requirements are identified and incorporated into the design at an early stage.
- In addition you will scope and deliver process engineering solutions for site support activities. Conduct independent fault finding and problem resolution of moderate to high complexity, selecting and applying suitable process engineering techniques. These activities will require travel to site on occasion.
- Developing standards for approval within your specialist area of expertise or as a member of a Team of Experts is required in this role.
- You will deliver solutions personally or through a matrix of engineers, technical and administrative staff and contractors.
- Additionally you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of activities on a day-to-day basis, and organising your own workload and priorities accordingly.
What makes you great:
- You have a Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in a comparable role including periods of work at operating sites.
- Further you are capable of operating independently which would normally be associated with Chartered status but may have been gained through though other (artisan/time-served) routes.
- Experience of compressed gases and cylinder filling operations is desirable.
