Job Description:
How d’you fancy sinking your teeth into a demanding and well-rewarded design role helping shape an exciting Electric Vehicle Charging business? Working with some of the biggest FSTE 100 Business.
We are looking for a Junior Designer with a core skill set indigital design to join our dynamic team. You will be working on architectural sites plans, marketing documentation and supporting the software team with UX/UI design. Whilst we expect to provide support and training in site plan engineering and UX/UI design, experience in product design is essential to ensure a strong start. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist our engineering team by crafting EV charging site plans for homebuilders
- Support the sales and marketing team with product features, marketing materials, and some print design
- Contribute to the software team with UX/UI design
- Manage product certification and ensure compliance with government regulations
- Conduct quality assurance checks on engineering samples before procurement
- Work closely with the design team to maintain product delivery schedules and overcome key challenges
Key Requirements:
- Essential: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign focus)
- Essential: Experience with CAD design
- A strong portfolio showcasing design work
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- A commercial mindset with an understanding of how design contributes to business success
- A can-do attitude and someone who is willing to try their hand to any tasks that may arise within the team
Great things to have:
- Familiarity of Figma, Adobe XDs)
- Familiarity of Autodesk AutoCAD LT
- Familiarity with Electrical Engineering and Standard Wiring
Education & Qualifications- Degree in Product Design / Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- A background in mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering is a plus but not essential
