Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our sector leading
Environmental Transaction Services (ETS) team which provides commercially focused environmental and sustainability due diligence advice to a diverse range of clients in support the real estate transactions, mergers and acquisition across the UK and Europe.
The role provides an opportunity for you to lead our well-established
environmental due diligence teams that are responsible for the management and delivery of a range of fast paced technical projects relating to ground risk, flood risk, environmental compliance, and sustainability.
We are looking for an experienced environmental consultant with a broad skill set specialising in
ground risk and environmental compliance with some knowledge of sustainability preferred. The successful applicant will be a proficient project manager, will be comfortable talking to clients, building new relationships in the investment sector and will be enthusiastic and excited to lead a team of talented environmental consultants.
How You’ll Contribute
- Leadership of a small group of environmental consultants across multiple offices with responsibility for pastoral care, training, technical and operational delivery, recruitment and financial performance with support from the Service Lead.
- Technical support of the team in the subject areas of ground risk and environmental compliance with some understanding of sustainability preferred.
- Project management and delivery of multiple time-critical due diligence projects simultaneously including multi-site portfolios within the UK and Europe.
- Financial management of the regional team including accountability for meeting budgets and reporting key metrics to the Service Lead.
- Client account management, development of new business relationships, day to day client liaison and supporting junior members of the team with client communications.
- Production and approval of proposals and technical deliverables to ensure that client requirements are met to a high technical standard.
- Technical interpretation of data and delivering commercially-sound advice to clients in order for them to meet their investment objectives.
- Management of suppliers and third-party technical specialists to deliver projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Line management of team members including the provision of coaching and performance feedback.
- Demonstrate the behaviours, vision and values of the business and drive these throughout the team and beyond.
Knowledge And Skills
- Degree in relevant subject and preferably a secondary degree i.e. MSc, or discipline related qualification.
- A member of a relevant professional body preferably to chartered status.
- Depth of knowledge within the specialisms of ground risk, environmental compliance with a degree of understanding of sustainability.
- Proven project management and people leadership skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office.
- Full UK driving licence (preferable).
