Associate Director of Performance and Strategic Development

We are looking for a talented senior leader to join our team at a pivotal time as we develop our strategy for the next five years. Our service users and colleagues are at the heart of everything we do and we are working towards a community-based approach for mental health support, prevention and early intervention, working closely with our partners.
In our Strategy and Partnerships team, we are particularly looking for a passionate and committed leader who embodies our values, with experience in strategy development and working with partners to lead a portfolio of work. You will bring excellent communication and engagement skills, strategy development and business planning/case skills, with experience in programme leadership and building relationships internally, externally and across local and regional partners to improve our services for our service users and our communities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the Trust and make a positive contribution to reducing inequalities and improving our services.

Main duties of the job
The Purpose Of The Role Is To Support The Director Of Strategy And Partnerships In Leading The Work Of The Performance And Strategic Development Directorate. The Performance And Strategic Development Directorate Has a Wide Portfolio Of Responsibilities, Including:
Strategy and planning, including trustwide policy development and training
Partnership working
Service development, large scale business cases and tenders
Programme management for major programmes of work including transactions, new ways of working and other trust-wide approaches
Contracting and working with our commissioners
Business intelligence and performance management
Each Associate Director of Performance and Strategic Development within the team will have a lead portfolio and will work together to co-ordinate the leadership and management of the team.
The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues at a senior level throughout the Trust making a positive contribution to reducing inequalities and to ensure continuous improvement in services, supporting service users and their carers to experience the best possible care. The postholder will build relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders across the health and social care system in Greater Manchester and beyond, co-producing proposals with people with lived experience with a view to improving outcomes, experience and sustainability.
