Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (pro-rata, based on a 42.5-hour week)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm (with enhanced rates for night/weekend hours and overtime in lieu for extra hours worked).

The Role:
We are looking for a Plant Fitter / Workshop Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our fleet of road vehicles, plant machinery, and tools, ensuring they are in top condition to meet the demands of our operations. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a key role that offers variety, responsibility, and potential for career growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee scheduled maintenance, carry out repairs, and manage callouts to site.
- Scheduling & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance works, and plant usage.
- External Coordination: Procure and manage external repair and maintenance services (e.g., MOTs, HGV inspections).
- Operational Support: Work closely with project managers to allocate plant, vehicles, and tools to site teams, and ensure smooth yard operations.
- Market Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and plant/vehicle innovations, recommending improvements to the business.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience in plant, vehicle, and tool maintenance, with the ability to manage repairs and schedules efficiently.
- Skills: Strong understanding of plant machinery, vehicle maintenance, and related systems. Ability to prioritise work effectively and keep clear records.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety standards, as well as external maintenance requirements (MOTs, inspections, etc.).
- Personal Attributes: Highly organised, strong communication skills, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Plant Mechanics or Agricultural Machinery.
- CPCS Operators Card (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK Driving License (trailer towing and HGV license a plus).
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).

- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (pro-rata, based on 42.5 hours per week).
