What this job involves:
Our graduate programme will provide you with first-hand experience while working towards a professional qualification, all within the dynamic environment of JLL's Manchester office.
You'll join us on a 2-to-2.5-year trainee programme, working towards Commercial / General Practice Chartered Surveyor status with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Our Manchester office offers a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, ideal for your professional development.
If you do not have an RICS accredited Real Estate degree, then you will need to complete a Master's degree in Real Estate as part of the programme as well. We have strong connections with local universities to support your academic journey.
Anyone with a degree can join this programme, irrespective of degree discipline, as we're focused on training you to becoming a qualified and well-rounded professional. Our diverse Manchester team welcomes graduates from various backgrounds.
You'll rotate around the business with a focus on commercial and corporate properties, such as office spaces and retail stores. Possible rotations could include Valuation, Agency, Capital Markets, Property & Asset Management, Residential, Work Dynamics, and Consulting.

What your day-to-day will look like:
You’ll get involved in real work from day one that will help clients achieve their ambitions. The work will vary depending on the team you are in but below are some of what you’ll experience:
- You’ll research and keep up to date with relevant market insight and property legislation that may impact our work
- You’ll learn how to use various property systems/databases so we can collect information that will help us determining the best solution for clients
- You’ll build relationships across our business and clients to ensure we deliver a great service
- You’ll work with your team to draft and deliver work that may involve a variety of work, such as service charge budgets, presentations to clients, and valuation reports.
- You’ll visit properties to carry out inspections or conduct client viewings.
- You’ll take part in regular training in business skills, technical knowledge, and professional development to support your growth

- Dress for your day – Each day will be different, so we trust you to dress according to what you’re doing. For example, if you’re meeting clients then it’s important to dress smartly to reflect the great work we do, and we encourage you dress more casually when you don’t.

Required Skills and Experience:
- GCSEs – C / 4 grade or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Degree – predicted or achieved in any degree discipline
- You’ll have a curious mindset so you can learn and grow with us
- You’ll be passionate and eager to contribute your thoughts, create fresh ideas, and challenge yourself to do more than you think you could
- You’ll have an interest in the property industry and how we can shape its future
- You’ll be able to connect with others easily and build strong relationships
Right to work in the UK:
- You will need to have permanent right to work in the UK, with no time restrictions or limited working hours. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas, including Graduate Visas beyond the programme
