Role Overview:
We are looking for:
1) A Solar Panel & EV Charging Design Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our team. (Requirements are below)
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing Solar Panels & EV charging infrastructure, from initial concept through to installation. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to create effective, sustainable, and safe Solar panels & EV charging solutions.
2) EV Chargers & Solar Panels Sales & Business Development Executive with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. (Requirements are below)
you will drive business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities in the electric vehicle (EV) charger & Solar panel sector. This role requires a tech-savvy individual who can bridge the gap between technical understanding and business strategy, providing clients with innovative solutions in Solar & EV charging technology to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of Solar & EV Chargers business, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and with the highest quality standards. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for renewable energy and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities for A Solar Panel & EV Charging Design Engineer:
1. Solar panel & EV Charger Designs - Design Creation and Editing
- Develop and edit solar panel designs & EV charger design using Open Solar, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Create Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for solar installations.
- Edit and finalize proposals and eventually handover manuals for solar & EV charger projects.
- Prepare detailed and accurate proposals based on solar & EV charger designs.
- Generate quotations that align with project requirements and company pricing strategies.
2.Compliance Forms Submission - Regulatory Compliance
- Complete and submit G99/98 forms for grid connection approval.
- Ensure compliance with G100 standards and submit necessary documentation.
3. Hardware Research - Component Research
- Research and identify suitable hardware components for solar proposals.
- Evaluate hardware options based on quality, cost, and compatibility with project needs.
- Maintain an updated database of hardware suppliers and products.
4. EV & Solar Proposals - Electric Vehicle & Solar Proposal Creation
- Develop proposals for Solar & electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.
- Ensure Solar & EV proposals are integrated with solar design offerings.
- Stay updated on the latest Solar Panel & EV technologies and market trends.
5. Invoicing - Invoice Management
- Prepare and send invoices for part payments for solar projects and related services.
- Ensure invoices are accurate and sent in a timely manner.
6. Competitor Analysis - Market Research
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify market trends, pricing strategies, and new products.
- Compile and present findings to inform strategic decisions and improve competitive positioning.
7. Presentation Creation - Company Presentations
- Develop presentations based on research and project data.
- Ensure presentations are visually appealing, informative, and aligned with company branding.
- Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, internal reviews, and conferences.
8. Cost Spreadsheets - Cost Analysis
- Create and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets for project costs.
9. CRM Maintenance
- Update the CRM system with accurate and current project and client information.
- Ensure all project documentation is uploaded and properly categorized in the CRM.
- Use CRM data to track project progress and client interactions.
10. Documentation Management - Document Organization
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation in CRM and designated folders.
- Regularly audit documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Implement a systematic approach for document version control and access.
11. Design and develop EV charging infrastructure for residential, commercial, and public installations.
12. Create detailed technical designs, drawings, and specifications for EV charging stations.
13. Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess potential charging locations.
14. Work with project managers and engineers to ensure EV charging designs meet client needs and industry standards.
15. Collaborate with local authorities and utilities to ensure proper integration with the grid.
16. Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of EV charging stations.
17. Stay up to date with the latest EV charging technology, regulations, and industry trends.
18. Prepare technical reports and documentation for each project.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Solar & EV charging design.
- Candidates with right to work in the UK preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, particularly in relation to Solar & EV charging infrastructure.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of UK regulations and standards for Solar & EV charging stations (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations).
- Familiarity with grid integration and power distribution networks.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and technical assessments.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Key Responsibilities for A Solar Panel & EV Charging Sales & Business Development Executive:
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Lead Generation:
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting businesses, property developers, and public entities.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and emerging trends in the renewable industry.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and partners.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Act as a key point of contact for existing and new customers, managing contracts, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Provide technical expertise and present customized solutions based on the client’s infrastructure and sustainability goals.
3. Strategy & Business Development:
- Collaborate with senior management to create a go-to-market strategy for business, identifying key segments and potential revenue streams.
- Negotiate partnerships with hardware manufacturers, energy providers, and installation contractors to ensure a comprehensive service offering.
- Identify opportunities for government subsidies, grants, and incentives.
4. Product Knowledge & Industry Trends:
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in Solar panels & EV charger technology, standards, and regulations.
- Educate clients on the benefits of various Solar Panel & EV charging solutions, including fast chargers, networked chargers, and installation options.
- Work to create promotional materials and campaigns that attract potential customers.
- Coordinate with technical and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of charging stations & Solar panel at client sites.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
- Track sales metrics and analyse performance to inform future sales strategies.
- Provide regular reports to senior management regarding business development activities, customer feedback, and market conditions.
Qualifications and Skills
1) Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
- An MBA or equivalent qualification in Sales & Marketing is a plus.
2) Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the Solar & EV, renewable energy, or automotive sectors.
- Experience in technical sales or working with infrastructure projects (charging stations, Solar Panel & renewable energy) is highly preferred.
3) Skills:
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales tools.
- Technical understanding of Solar panels & EV infrastructure and basic knowledge of electric vehicle components is an advantage.
- Ability to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
4) Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
- A valid driver's license.
5) Candidates with right to work in the UK preferred.
Working Hours:
This role is a full-time position, with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines or attend client meetings outside these hours.
