We are seeking engineers with a Senior Wastewater Modellers with a background who are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways. Specifically, we have current opportunities to join our UK based teams to reinforce our existing team and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies.

We are looking for a Wastewater Modeller to join our teams in Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester & Newcastle.
Key Duties;
- Responsible for supporting the technical delivery and Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of robustly defined technical solutions.
- Experience in network hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets and to exceed our clients’ expectations.
- Work as part of a team being involved in a variety of projects including model build and verification, using existing models to understand system performance.
- Optioneering and solutions development of flooding and CSO drivers.
- Working to client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interacting directly with various personnel in our client’s organisations, including face to face progress meetings.
- Investigation, analysis and resolution of drainage network issues.
- Scoping of network surveys to supplement model updates
- Review and manage weekly contractor survey submissions.
- Building and maintaining hydraulic models.
- Delivery of technical reports and hydraulic modelling studies.
- Undertake the development of modelled engineering solutions to mitigate the effects of development, to solve sewer flooding and to address unsatisfactory overflows.
- Working knowledge of GIS tools (MapInfo, ArcGIS).
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for modelling.
- Supervise site surveys and field investigations.
- Plan, programme, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects.
- Driving health and safety in all aspects of our projects.
- Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, contracting engineers, subcontractors, sub-consultants and clients.
- Providing guidance and support to less experienced graduate engineers or technicians.
Here's what you'll need
- The candidate should be a highly motivated, competent and analytical person with experience in network modelling, design and network analysis.
- An excellent team player that works well on own initiative and possesses excellent communication skills.
- Experience in the outline design of wastewater schemes; sewage pumping systems and treatment facilities.
- Integrated Catchment Modelling experience
- Experience of supporting tendering procedures and putting together proposals.
- Demonstrable track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the water industry
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive outlook and approachable manner.
- Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal staff and external clients
- Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.
- Self-motivated, able to work as part of a team or on individual assignments when required.
- Ability to complete assignments on time, within budget and to a high technical standard.
