Job Description
The Neom Fleet Manager is responsible for managing the vehicle fleet assigned to the Neom Full Time Employees working on the LINE Project. The Fleet Manager will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet, including the scheduling of planned maintenance and managing faults and repairs. The FM will work closely with the Neom Transport Team and the Lease Hire company to facilitate the delivery and issue of new vehicles. The FM will track driver behavior, monitor fuel consumption, creating reports and evaluation to support Safe Driver initiatives and commercial planning.
Ensure all drivers comply with safety regulations, traffic rules, and off-road driving laws.
- Keep track of the progress and performance of each driver and maintain accurate training records.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective fleet management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee the daily operations of the vehicle fleet, including maintenance, repairs, inspections, and fueling.
- Manage the procurement and issue of vehicles to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, such as Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Monitor and control expenses related to the fleet, such as fuel costs, parts and equipment purchases, maintenance and repair costs, and labor expenses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other third-party service providers.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, logistics, construction, HR, etc.) to ensure seamless communication and coordination of fleet-related activities.
- Train, coach, and supervise the fleet team, providing leadership, guidance, and feedback as needed.
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance and repair procedures.
- Understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with fleet management software and tools.
- Higher Level Management experience.
- Good Organisational skills.
- Project Management experience with Recognized Qualification.
- Contract preparation and negotiation experience.
- Business Administration Qualification/ Experience.
- Commercial experience.
