Health and Safety Projects Manager - Mid Wales

Circa £450 per day (Outside IR35)

Are you a Health and Safety contractor based in and around mid-Wales and ready for your next contract or interim role? Do you have extensive client-side construction experience and CDM knowledge? If so, this could be your next opportunity with a rapidly expanding manufacturing company currently seeking a Health and Safety Projects Manager.

You'll be joining a growing company, overseeing all client-side construction health and safety duties on a key capital project, managing contractors, and ensuring successful project completion.

This is a fully on-site role.

The responsibilities of the Health and Safety Projects Manager will be:

Manage and oversee key new construction projects across the site through to completion
Monitor Key performance indicators across projects, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions to ensure best practice
Provide support to project teams and managing contractors on compliance requirements, site visits, oversight of 3rd party contractor for health and safety delivery
Providing ad hoc support for safety audits, in line with audit plan and associated protocols, coaching others in audit good practice
Lead and deliver health and safety improvement activity by providing support to the health and safety Manager and wider dept. through delivery of agreed improvement activities.

The successful Health and Safety Projects Manager will have:

Experience within construction health and safety, heavy lifting and demolitions
Client-side construction experience, extensive CDM knowledge and managing contractors
A proactive and self-motivated approach
Ideally a NEBOSH, NVQ 5, or NCRQ diploma (or equivalent)
Membership of IOSH (Grad or Chartered)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation
