Field Operations Manager, from £40k DOE (London weighting applicable)
We Power Your Car is an electric vehicle (EV) charger, full-service supply and installation company based in Yorkshire but operating nationally. As a rapidly expanding business in an exciting industry, we’re searching for a trustworthy self-starter to join us as Field Operations Manager for the southern region.
Reporting to - Head of Field Services
Hours - Full-time - 42.5 hrs per week (hybrid remote)
Location - Birmingham/Milton Keynes/Coventry area
General job description
We are searching for a trustworthy self-starter to join us as Field Operations Manager for the southern region. The field operations manager’s responsibilities include providing guidance and support to all staff, assisting with recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations by visiting EV Electricians onsite and completing audits and 121’s.
You should be able to travel frequently and stand for long periods of time with some home working and occasional head office visits (Bradford).
Skills and Requirements
Managing circa 16 geographically spread skilled engineers
Liaising with different departments to ensure optimisation
Develop and implement various quality control methods
Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes
Setting targets and working alongside the team to achieve these goals
Providing guidance and mentoring to field staff
Ensuring all processes are compliant
Working with the Qualified Supervisors to increase quality of installations
Look after the wellbeing of field staff
The ideal candidate would:
Provide exceptional customer service
Have excellent leadership qualities
Be able to work individually or as part of a team
Have previous management of field-based engineers (required)
Be able to communicate effectively with senior management and the office-based support teams
H&S Qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH (desirable)
Full UK driving licence and DBS check is required
