Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and lead the design and development of innovative Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable transportation, with a focus on both 22kW AC chargers and DC fast chargers.
In addition, he/she will leverage their expertise to create efficient, reliable, and user-friendly charging stations that meet the demands of the rapidly growing EV market.
Main duties
· Lead the design and development of electrical systems for 22kW AC and DC EV chargers, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
· Conduct in-depth electrical calculations, power analysis, and thermal management for all EV charger components.
· Select and source high-quality electrical components (power electronics, transformers, etc.) based on stringent technical specifications and industry standards (e.g., IEC 61851).
· Design and implement robust control systems for safe and efficient operation of both AC and DC chargers.
· Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the charging stations.
· Oversee the testing and troubleshooting of EV charger prototypes, identifying, and resolving technical issues.
· Stay current on the latest advancements in EV charging technology and relevant industry standards, including IEC 61851 for both AC and DC charging.
· Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, bills of materials, and detailed test reports.
· Contribute to the development of new product proposals and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Position requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
· Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in power electronics design.
· In-depth understanding of electrical power systems, power conversion principles, control theory, and thermal management for high-power applications.
· Demonstrated experience with designing for safety compliance in accordance with IEC 61851 for both AC and DC charging systems.
· Proficiency in electrical design tools (e.g., Mentor, simulation tools) and power electronics design software.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on achieving optimal efficiency and performance.
· Superior communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively lead and mentor team members.
· Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
